Landscape
Artists are often touched by familiar vistas that are open and enveloping, frequently revisiting the memories of places and things they have seen. In my painting, however, I go beyond the superficially visible and change the ordinary: it is not enough to reproduce what appears in front of me. I am constantly aware of how the elements of what I see fit together and how light and color alter the scene. The mood I sense must become an integral part of the painting so that I can share my particular vision with others.
