Current Work
Over the past few years I have painted a collection of varied watercolors. Many follow my traditional style but others reflect new interest in mood and action. The July 4th painting, for example, was painted at night in my studio after watching fireworks on television. It was completed quickly in brilliant acryclic paint over a dark watercolor background. Other paintings such as Sunset Poconos and Tree along the Lackawaxen, were approached carefully and reflect a dark and enveloping mood as the daylight slowly fades. There is great joy in exploring different ideas and techniques when painting. Many experiments will never see a mat or frame, but the process involved in creating every new work always brings excitement and the spirit of adventure.
